Kive Studio presents Ctrl+Save, a group exhibition and public seminar series exploring how contemporary technologies shape perception, memory, and the systems that govern everyday experience. The exhibition examines how value, preservation, and control are embedded in both digital and physical infrastructures. Taking its title from the keyboard command for digital preservation, Ctrl+Save poses a direct question: as data infrastructures, predictive systems, and artificial intelligence increasingly mediate how we perceive and remember, what can, and cannot, be saved?
Curated by Kive Studio co-directors Hyoeun Kang and Isabel Lotus, with curatorial advisor Yasaman Sheri and curatorial contributor Lauren Lee McCarthy, Ctrl+Save brings together Los Angeles-based artists working across digital media, AI, sculpture, installation, and performance to investigate how contemporary experience is captured, mediated, and preserved.
